The oxygen produced from the oxygen generator is dry. inhaling dry oxygen will stimulate the patient’s upper respiratory tract. So it is necessary to humidify the oxygen and moisten the airway when inhaling oxygen to prevent patient from having adverse reactions after inhaling dry oxygen.
